Tuition at Denver Golf Club
Denver Golf Club is owned by Jason E Groat (PGA Professional). Jason and Karl Spurrier (PGA) are on hand to teach individuals or small groups who want to learn to play golf, or to develop their golfing skills further.
|
|
If you are already proficient at golf, you can benefit from Jason or Karl's coaching skills to eliminate those weaknesses that can prevent a good round of golf from becoming an outstanding one. Jason' and Karl's tuition is completely flexible to suit the needs of an individual or a group. We will be pleased to make arrangements for anything from a single session or a short refresher course to a complete course of lessons at any level. Those with no golfing experience at all are just as welcome as those who want to top up their existing skills. Please click here for information on our tuition fees. |

Our Junior Academy courses have proved extremely popular, so advance booking is essential. The sessions are aimed at children from five to sixteen years old and cover all aspects of golf. Equipment hire is included in the session price. Once
again Denver Golf Club are holding their very successful Junior One Day
Camps throughout the school summer holidays. These are fun and
informative days for Juniors of all abilities, which include coaching,
competitions, lunch and 12 holes of golf, finishing with a prize giving
ceremony where all our budding "Tigers" taking part will receive a golf
goodie bag. The day includes a fun review of golf course rules and etiquette as the
Pro's show you how not
to do it. The 12 holes of golf played in 'Texas Scramble' team format
means that all players are involved in their team scores, making this a
great day full of fun and games for everyone.
Young Masters' Junior Golf Programme For a more structured approach and to get the perfect start in golf, Denver Golf Club offers the 4-day Cadets' course from the Young Masters' Junior Golf programme. Young Masters Golf is a comprehensive, step-by-step guide designed to progress kids from beginner to advanced level. Participants will receive instruction from Jason or Karl and everyone also receives a superb course folder and worksheets. There are fun competitions, games, tasks and challenges, as well as a cool certificate at the end of the Cadets' level. On a final day of camp participants will play 12 holes of golf in a competition format with a prize presentation at the end. Once you have completed the Cadets' course, you are then invited to continue on to the Bronze Course. There are eight levels in the Young Masters Golf programme, ensuring that each participant receives the knowledge and skills required to become an accomplished golfer. For further information or to participate in the Young Masters' Junior Golf programme, please call The Pro Shop at Denver Golf Centre on Downham Market (01366) 385716 (International telephone +44 1366 385 716).

Structured junior golf tuition is also available under the Junior Golf Passport which is now a recognised National Learning Programme from the Golf Foundation. Learning about golf can be great fun but practising the same thing over and over again can get boring. That's why the Golf Foundation has produced the Junior Golf Passport that teaches young people everything they need to know about playing the game, but the good news is that it's based on fun. Our Club PGA Professionals will introduce juniors to all sorts of games, activities and drills that make learning about golf exciting and interesting, covering etiquette, rules and play with skill and playing ability tests. Denver Golf Club offers the Junior Golf Passport in a six-week course delivered in 1 x one-hour session per week, priced at around £30.00 for the whole course paid in advance; or 6 x £7.00 per session paid on a session-by-session basis. Certificates of achievement will be presented at the end of each stage of the programme. To add to the fun, we will be holding optional Junior Competitions at the end of each month. These will be over 9 holes with an entry fee of around £3.00 per player for Denver Members and £6.00 per person for non-members. For further information or to participate in the Junior Golf Passport programme, please call The Pro Shop at Denver Golf Centre on Downham Market (01366) 385716 (International telephone +44 1366 385 716).
