Facilities at Denver Golf Club

Those who have visited us recently will have seen that new facilities have been put in place.  There is still much to do and organise, but things are happening here at Denver!

Below is a map of our course. Denver Golf Club is home to a beautiful 18-hole golf course - the Oaks course - par 27 - with views of Denver Windmill, set in mature landscaped grounds within a county wildlife site. The Hawthorns course - par 35 - has par-3, 4 and 5 holes to challenge your long game.

So far, we have planted over ten thousand bulbs at Denver, so the course and all the facilities look wonderful in the Spring.

The Oaks course is an ideal facility for you to practise and improve your short and medium length game and you can take advantage of our Hawthorn course to build up your driving and long game skills. In fact, our course can be used to improve a wide variety of golfing techniques. Our facilities are also perfect for beginners and juniors who want to experience golf in friendly surroundings and find out more about the game of golf. We have a bunker and a practice green where you can develop your techniques before going on to the driving range or the course. We also cater for seniors and groups who want to enjoy golf in a relaxed and informal setting.

The driving range is open on weekdays from 8.30 am to 9.00 pm and at weekends from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm. The 10-acre range has twenty bays of which twelve are under cover: six of those are floodlit and heated, so come along on those dark evenings and get your game into even better shape.  Please click here for information on our driving range charges.

You can order refreshments from our Denver Bay menu at any time on your mobile 'phone on 01366 385716 from the driving range and we will bring them direct to your bay at no extra cost.

There are only a few rules that we ask you to observe for the benefit of all players and to help us to keep Denver Golf Club in the best possible condition.

-  Before playing the Hawthorns course, you must have played the Oaks course (or a similar course) at least three times and have some knowledge of the rules of golf and course etiquette;

-  While the Hawthorns course is new, please tee up for all fairway shots on that course;

-  You must move your ball away from any young trees or plants that are likely to be damaged by a golf swing;

-  Dress appropriately - smart casual dress is preferred - gentlemen: no sleeveless tops, vests or bare chests, please;

-  Please wear golf shoes or flat shoes on the course;

-  Please avoid slow play and, when appropriate, wave through a following group;

-  We do not allow sharing of clubs or bags, as this slows down play. You can hire clubs and bags if required;

-  Please replace your divots and repair any pitch marks, and rake your footprints and pitch marks out of the bunkers;

-  We ask you to be courteous and considerate to others on the course by not unnecessarily distracting them and by shouting a warning of "Fore!" if you play a ball that may cause injury or distress to somebody else.

-  Please do not leave any litter and if you see something wrong with the course, please let us know; and

-  Finally - and most importantly - enjoy your game!

Our catering side is continuing to develop very well and we now have lots of regulars for snacks and meals. In the summer months we will have more room to accommodate you - thanks to our extension! - and a wider range of delights with which to tempt you!

We serve breakfasts from 8.30 am to 11.00 am; lunches from 12 noon to 2.00 pm; and dinners from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. A range of tea, coffee and soft drinks is always available.

Don't forget our home-cooked Sunday Roasts - you do not need to book in advance, but it is helpful for us if you can. We have a licence to sell alcohol for consumption on the premises, so you can enjoy a drink with your meal.

Remember - you don't need to play golf to eat or drink here.

Denver Bay Menu

You can order refreshments from our Denver Bay menu at any time by calling 01366 385716 on your mobile 'phone from the driving range and we will bring them direct to your bay at no extra cost.
