We hold events to help raise funds for national and local charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support and the Winifred Tuohy Memorial fund - £870.00, which is a charity based in King's Lynn, Norfolk, UK. Below is some information about our range of Denver Golf Club Junior birthday parties.
| Denver Golf Club Junior Birthday Parties - by arrangement At Denver Golf Club we'll arrange a Junior birthday party with you. Of course, there will plenty of golfing fun, skill and tuition for the juniors. There are three set options for you to choose from and a fourth option where we will work together with you to arrange just what you want. The prices quoted are for up to 20 persons of 7 years of age upwards. In the event of poor weather being forecast, please contact us in good time to check which facilities are available on the day and to discuss any necessary alterations to the arrangements. Option 1 Costing £12 per person and approximately 2½ hours' duration: Arrive in the morning or the afternoon - to suit you (e.g. 9.30 am - 12.00 noon)
Option 2 Costing £14 per person and approximately 3 hours' duration:

"Hawthorn Open" Competition - 2008
This is a knock-out competition to be played during 2008 for a new trophy. All players will be playing from scratch (i.e. no handicap) in matchplay format. The first round matches will need to be played by 20th January 2008, so please register your name and contact details with us at Reception before 5th January 2008.
It is planned that the second round matches should be completed by 3rd February 2008, so that there will be two weeks available in which to play each round. As the competition is a knock-out, we will not know when the final round will be, as that is dependent on the number of competitors who start.
Registration closed on 5th January 2008 and the competition is under way.

Monthly Open Competition: Greensomes
Saturday 17th May 2008
Open to all members, guests and non-members

There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams and Nearest the Pins prizes.
Cost for the day: Members - £2.50 per person; Non Members - £10.00 per person.

Friday 23rd May 2008
Jason and Karl have teamed up to throw down the gauntlet to all comers!
Teams of four (if you can't make a up a team of four, don't worry - we'll sort out the teams before the start) will play a 12-hole competition in greensomes format with 1st, 2nd and 3rd team prizes. "Greensomes" will be explained before the start. Your team also places a bet against the Pro Team winning - and your team will be given a handicap to help even things up!
This is event is open to Members and Non-Members alike. Cost for Members is £5.00 per person and for Non-Members is £10.00 per person. £5.00 of each team's entrance is their stake and if your team wins, your bet is doubled and the team goes through into the Pro Swindle Final at the end of the year. More information will be posted here about that event nearer the time.
Tee-off on 23rd will be at 6.00 pm. Afterwards, you can stay for a barbeque (starting at about 8.00 pm, depending on how fast the golf is), so why not bring the rest of your family along to enjoy the fun afterwards?

Denver Juniors' Half-Term Event 2008
Tuesday 27th May 2008
Junior Ryder Cup Match v Ely On Par:
18-hole (2 x 9 holes) competition with Nearest the Pin prizes and winning team medals.

| 1.30 pm | Tee-off: 9 holes fourball matchplay |
| followed by | Tee-off: 9 holes greensomes matchplay |
| 4.30 pm - 5.00 pm | Drinks & cakes and Presentation of competition prizes & team medals |
Cost for the day: Members - £6.00 per person; Non-Members - £12.00 per person.
Wednesday and Thursday 28th and 29th May 2008
Junior One-Day Golf Camps
from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm on both days:Golf clinic and swing instruction with video and the Junior Explanar
Short game competitions with prizes
Hot lunch followed by Rules and Etiquette session
12-hole competition - individual and team format
Main prize presentation at the end of the day
Clubs are available if required and juniors of all ages and standards of play are most welcome on these days.
Cost: £24.00 per single Junior per day - with discounts for a two-day ticket and for two or more Juniors booked at the same time.
Any parent who would like to be a marshal for the day, please let us know either by telephoning Downham Market (01366) 385716 or by telling at Reception. You will be fed and watered on the day! Thank you.

HSBC Wee Wonders Qualifying Day
Friday 30th May 2008
The
HSBC Wee Wonders Championships is a junior golf tournament that gives boys and
girls aged five to twelve a way to progress from coaching competitions into
competitive golf.
Playing on par- 3 golf courses, in ‘flag format’, children will get the
chance to see how they score against others their age. They will have 36
shots to get as far round the course as possible. Where the ball stops, they
plant their flag. If they get further than others their age, they’ve won!
